Duels

If you land on a duel square, you can challenge an opponent or choose not to duel. However if an opponent makes a challenge, or if you must battle an angel, you must fight (see fixes).

  1. Select a champion from your djinn force and place it on the board.
  2. Select a battle card from your collection that matches your current level. Battle Cards
  3. Play your spell cards that are appropriate for your level Spell Cards. If the challenger of the duel uses a spell card, the defender may use as many spell cards as the challenger.
  4. Apply the battle card and spell card affects.
  5. Each player rolls their die (red for the challenger, blue for the defender).
  6. Multiply the number on the die to the battle power indicated on your djinni’s card. If you exceed the power threshold, you automatically lose the duel. (Check levels)
  7. Add the djinni’s intellect and adaptivity points
  8. The player with the highest amount of points is the winner.

  • Collect from your opponent the number of shards equal to your djinni’s value.
  • Capture your opponent’s champion to recruit, decommission, or send to cosmic fire.
  • Demand a ransom to return the djinni.
  • Pay shards to the winner
  • Surrender your champion to the winner
  • Pay ransom to keep your champion

For double jeopardy duels, chose two of the three winning options, otherwise, select only one winning option to enforce on the loser.

Dueling Angels

There are many races of angels: Virtues, Powers, Ishim, Ophanim, and Cherubs. Each with different strengths as indicated by the number on their squares.

  1. Select your champion. If you have no champion to select follow the appropriate rules for losing.
  2. Select an appropriate battle card or spell card (most will not help you)
  3. Roll the battle duel die. The face up number must equal or exceed the angelic number on the square.
  4. If the numbers are the same, there is no reward or penalty.
Winner

You win the duel if your die roll number is higher than the angelic number on the square.

Rewards: twice the number of shards as the value on your champion’s card and one draw from the djinn deck to recruit another djinni to your force.

Loser

You lose the duel if your die roll number is less than the angelic number on the square

Penalty: Send your djinni to the cosmic fire. If it is immortal, decommission your djinni. Place one element or 5 shards under the Power Reward square.
